What are you building?
Room addition, detached garage, single or multi-family home, pool, pole barn, or pond?

If your project is: 

500 square feet or more and/or disturbing 5,000 square feet or more
  • Must have a permit
    • Application (PDF)
    • Appropriate Clean Water Permit Fee
    • Erosion Control Plan (download example - PDF) 
    • Certified Plot Plan (if building a single or multi-family home)
  • If you are disturbing 1 acre or more you must also have a Notice of Intent from IDEM (PDF) (Indiana Department of Environmental Management)
 
Less than 500 square feet and/or disturbing less than 5,000 square feet
  • Fill out application and have it on file at the Clean Water Department

These permit requirements are for unincorporated parts of Hendricks County including smaller towns like Amo, Clayton, North Salem, etc.
