Each of the awards are recognized the year after they are earned. 

Recipient  of the Donald L. Lawson Award for Conservation Education

Each year the Donald L. Lawson Award is given for Conservation Education at the SWCD Annual Meeting.  The award has been given to the following people:

2009 - Karin Starr (Hendricks County Partnership for Water Quality)

2010 - Angie Williams - (Ag in the Classroom)

2011 - Candi  Donaldson ( Hendricks County Partnership for Water Quality)

2012 - Mary Feeney (Teacher for St. Malachy School)

2013 - Jennifer Davies (Avon Outdoor Learning Center)

2014 - Kevin Maloney ( Teacher for Danville Middle School)

2015 - Karena Maloney( Teacher for Brownsburg Elementary)

2016 - Sarah Wolf (McCloud Park Naturalist)

Recipient for the Hendricks County Conservation Farmer of the Year

Each year an award is given for the Hendricks County Conservation Farmer of the Year at the SWCD Annual Meeting.  The award has been given to the following people:  

2009 - Mike Moore

2010 - Owen Hack

2011 - Charles Brown

2012 - Brian Rutledge

2013 - David Hardin

2014 - Brock Family Farms

2015 - Dwayne Lundy

2016 - Chuck Lamar

Recipient for the River Friendly Farmer of the Year

Each year an award is given for the River Friendly Farmer of the Year at the SWCD Annual Meeting.  The award has been given to the following people:

2009 - John Hardin Jr.

2010 - Mike Moore

2011 - Owen Hack

2012 - Charles Brown, Jack Maloney and Charles Brown

2013 - Brian Rutledge

Recipient for the Loughmiller Conservation and Efforts Award

About our Mascot Minimize
 

Congratulations to Sara Jones from Tri-West High School for drawing our mascot.  Local high school art classes participated in a  "Draw the Mascot" contest .    Sara won a $100 savings bond.  Thanks to all of the participants and congratulations to our finalist.

Congratulations to Zachary Castetter from Central Elementary for naming our mascot. Local elementary classes participated in the "Name the Mascot" contest.  Zachary submitted the winning name Kipper.   Kipper stands for Keep It Pure Please Environment Rocks.  Zachary won a $100 savings bond.  Thanks to all of the participants and congratulations to our finalist.
